The Band is a fragile story, filled with tragicomic twists, about a group of guys from a poor, Eastern Slovakian Roma Village,
who decided to change their lives.

Up until recently, the talented and organizationally-gifted Stano Čonka, with the aid of a local parson, had been helping others in the village rebuild their huts into real, self-built, brick houses.
Now he’s become the manager of the newly forming group Gypsy Band Lomnické Čháve.

He dedicates all his efforts to getting “his boys” to show everyone their true musical talent. We follow the rising group, Gypsy Band Lomnické Čháve, all the way to their phenomenal success at the prestigious international music festival, Pohoda Trenčín.
